Quality
Approved by the British Standards Institute to ISO90001:2008, Image’s manufacturing processes are strictly controlled by documented procedures as part of the Company's Quality Assurance System.

Ingress Protection (IP rating) The standard rating for our housings is 'Weatherproof' to IP54 but higher ratings can be achieved, up to IP65, with special consideration given to locking systems.

Fire Retardancy The fire retardant resins, used in the standard wall construction, comply with BS: 476 part 7 Class 2 (surface spread of flame).

Exterior Surface The durability of GRP depends to a large extent on the outer surface or gel-coat for maximum protection. We only use a marine gel-coat that is designed to withstand UV radiation and immersion in either fresh or seawater. These qualities help to protect our housings against extreme weather conditions in any part of the world.

Structural Integrity When a building is fabricated from panels, the corner fixings are the most important aspect of its structural integrity. Image’s corner posts are made from fully encapsulated solid hardwood ply, screwed, bolted and bonded together resulting in a structure that is more than capable of meeting the rigours of its environments.

Composite Raw Materials The core materials that form the composite panels for the walls, doors and roof, are to suit the individual specifications, or the application of the building, and comprise of marine gel-coat, glass-fibre matting and, if required, fire-retardant resins.

Standard WBP plywood is to BS:1203:2001

Doors All doors have encapsulated welded RHS steel frames around the perimeter to reinforce and protect the edges. 316 grade stainless steel or anodised aluminium alloy hinges are bolted through encapsulated steel in the doorframes and fixed with security bolts. All second opening doors have shoot bolts to secure them and can have hold-open stays.

Locks Most types of locks can be fitted to our single or double doors, cylinder rim, Castell, mortise, 3 point locking with 'L' handles, ' T ' handles, swing handles, hasp & staple and special combinations of more than one type of lock.
